Someone new

I poured out my affections But you denied me a connection You stole from me The wholeness of my naivety Used me and used me til you used me up. I will not forget. But yet out of the dark arrived a spark a light was shone not your name on my phone but another face one with grace my cold tired heart was not awake warm and thriving something I couldn't fake I wasn't whole cracked and beaten was my soul but in his hands he held the glue to fix my being and help me start anew I was safe under his arm protected from your harm
