To: Someone struggling
To: Someone Struggling
I too at on the side of the obelisk
not a person in sight
in a world of ennui
nothing but malign nothingness...
I would stay here
Just sitting there
Betwixt between the shadows and darkness
or would I look to the small orb of light
that catches my eye ever so often
Was my mind being fooled once again?
Was I imagining this?
was there a way out?
Yes, I thought.
There had to be.
Did I have such a choice to leave?
What would happen if I did?
Would I freshen the world around me and make a vivifying difference?
I would.
I had to...
I would thrive in hope and prosper in impunity
I would take control
and once my time was done
I would stand proud in the edge of elysium
Awaiting my fate
As the light slowly grew into the sun
I smiled as I realized
I could do this
