Someone Who Cares

I'm not trying to find love, I'm looking for direction. I'm not trying to be rude, I just want to be protected. You might say this is a battle; But I don't understand? Who is it against? Is it spirit or man? Or is it within myself? Because I'm really lost? Emotions can not decipher the situation at this cost. I no longer know who I am. I don't like who I've become. Nothing ever stops, Things keep happening and then some. I feel like I'm all alone, But the truth is I'm not. I'm trying to find the perfect person. I know who he is, I just forgot. He knows me by name. He knows my heart. But I keep finding a way to make us depart. But unlike others He never really leaves. I say I don't want him there But he knows what I need. I need not to push him away. He is always here to hold my hand. He catches and carries me; His set of footprints in the sand. I am sure of the phase I am in, But I sure hope it quickly pasts. So that I can obtain true joy in my heart, A meaningful one that will last.
