Something

I'm eighteen years old

That means for eighteen years, the only thing I have constantly been with

is myself

But, there is something more I need

I need something more than just being alive

I need something that makes me feel alive

I need something that makes sense of why the birds sing so smoothly in the mornings

Something

Something

Something that describes the range of emotions food can illustrate for me

Something that measures the highest peak of happiness when I finish a well written book

Something that describes the beauty that illuminates me while watching a sunset

Something

Something

Something that describes the complicated, contrasted love between the sun and the moon

Something that gravitates the tear drop coming out of my eye when my favorite charater in the movie dies

Something breath taking that pulls my attention while walking

Something

Something

That something, is passion

To find the passion,

The passion in poetry

The passion in music

The passion in love

The point of living

Making life worth while,

While also enjoing...

I'm not a professional poet, but I do think poetry is from the heart... and that's how I wrote this.
