something about the stars

There's this thing about how the stars shine.

The way their light flickers.

I could lay on top this hill of sand for hours watching them.

The peaceful honey do hums of the grasshoppers chatting to one another,

the barn fans buzzing gently,

the sporadic soothing sounds of lambs calling for shepherds and Catle to cowboys.

Picking up the sand in my hands and slowly carefully

even pouring it out only to pick it up again, the luk warm air on my skin as a

gentle breeze passes over me, the sand filing in around

my body cradling me in its arms.

The aroma of the barn drifting out

Mingling with the smell of grass,

and the small pond playfully like kids at play.

Chasing one after another and then a pause...calling you to follow.

A buque of colors blinding beautifully in to a deep vast purple.

my eyes glide on it smoothly from one color to the other.

Until stopped by the barn and the power lines.

My top biggest contenders.

the small pieces of light hanging just above me.

Flickering slightly in front of my eyes, watching me stare at them.

The stars.
