Something About the Way You Walk
Something About the Way You Walk Poem by D’Vante Jerrell Chapman a.k.a. The Black Love Poet
There’s something about the way you walk
Your skin, your hair, the way you talk
If beauty could speak out loud
You’ll have a lot to say
With you, I got sunshine never cold days
You my sweet butterfly
You give me chills and get me high
All at the same damn time
Being with you, it’s like I’m cruising and I skipped the line
There’s something about the way you walk
That shakes my loins and wakes them up
I thirst for you like the last drop of water on earth and I can’t get enough
If your love laid on top of a mountain I would climb that jack and the beanstalk
Just to reach it
Kiss your heart when it’s missing affection
Love you with deep emotion that keep you from stressin
You keep me mentally challenged
Only it’s not a disorder it’s my love for you that I manage
There’s something about the way you walk
Your elegance, your grace, the expression on your face
When you see my heart for what it is
There’s something about the way you walk
Your skin, your hair, the way you talk
That got me bathing in a sea of your soothing voice
They asked me who do I choose?
I ask ain’t it obvious? She’s my only choice.
There’s something about the way you walk.
