Something Bright

It fuels our lives, directs our steps, illuminates our path, and guides us to the future. Shining through the day, sleeping with us each night. It looms in the sky, beating down with watchful eyes. The sol of our existence, yet the outcast of our cares. What we take for granted, we can't live without. We grumble and complain. We feel hot and weak. We beg for shelter. We despise the glare. Yet, we rely so much on every ray and what it means for our lives. We detest. We love. We dismiss. We need. It keeps us breathing one more day.
