Something to Complain About

Simple stories blown out of proportion

Simple lifetimes don't meet their daily quotient, so they pray

To get their daily bread

Want to live their lives unfed, so they'd have something to complain about

Simple wordsmith come in my direction

Lend me something I don't need to show affection towards

Like a computer screen, want to live my life unclean

So I'd have something to complain about

I choked on my heart

I gave up on me from the very start

So I'd have something to complain about

All this rain must be out on vacation

All this brown has to pull through as a nation

Led astray by a yellow bird filled with hate

But before 11/8 it was all just something to complain about

I'll apologize to you, you've got better things you have to do

If you apologize to me, I'll put the animals in twos

It's Noah's arc show

And we're so glad you could make it

I choked on my heart

I gave up on me from the very start

So I'd have something to complain about
