Something Else

Oh,  I’m so very blessed

That I’m still a work in progress!

That I’m not who I was.

Thank God for that because

He has made me into something new,

Something that is much improved.

Thank God I was transformed

Through that redeeming cross,

That He lead me through the storm

And guided me when I was lost!

Clap and shout and ring the bells!

Thank God He made me something else!

Tangled in a strangling vice,

Sin was making me pay the price.

Going nowhere fast with my life.

In desperate need for advice.

Then You came. I didn’t think twice.

I gave You the steering wheel of my life.

I felt the changes begin inside,

And knew the old me had died.

Thank God I was transformed

Through that redeeming cross,

That He lead me through the storm

And guided me when I was lost!

Clap and shout and ring the bells!

Thank God He made me something else!

Leave the pain in the past.

Forgive others, forgive them fast.

Forsake my selfish ways too,

The way Jesus would have me do.

Take up my cross everyday.

Trust that He knows the way.

Serve all, no matter their case.

Return the favor of mercy and grace.

It’s so much better, living out His plan.

Thank God He changed who I am!

Thank God I was transformed

Through that redeeming cross,

That He lead me through the storm

And guided me when I was lost!

Clap and shout and ring the bells!

Thank God He made me something else!
