Something to hold on to

The beat, the lyrics, that lies beneath my soul

that builds my heart as a whole

but what happens when I'm all alone

stranded with the life companion that I own

it's my phone

or the car radio

but each day that passes by I am getting old

and everyday inside of me I see a hole

however, there is one thing that gives me hope...

the beautiful melody if the guitar I stole

outside late at night when I was bored

as I saw it, admiring it on its own

strumming it as life itself glowed

keeping it to myself not letting go

if I can say one more thing as this poem goes....

create new music of the well-known
