Sometimes
Sometimes I wish I'd hugged you harder before you left.
Sometimes I wish I held you longer before you left.
Sometimes I wish you never left.
Because sometimes this hilarious thing happens and all I want to do is tell you.
But by the time the text goes through wind,
The message is gone.
And because sometimes something fantastic happens,
And when I look around for someone to share it with me,
Your spot is empty.
And sometimes I wish you were here because these videos aren't as funny or scary when I'm not watching them with you
And sometimes I wish you'd never left because the bus seems to quiet without you, the seat is too big and our inside jokes aren't as funny when I'm the only one laughing.
Sometimes I wish you were here because this girl has a ridiculous hair cut and I know you'd laugh but it isn't as funny through imagery and a long text full of l o l s
Sometimes I wish you were here because sometimes I get this fluttery feeling I'm my stomach when I hear a new song or read a perfect line but there's no way that feeling can be portrayed by a text or a phone call
Because sometimes technology isn't great enough to convey these beautiful moments I wish you lived with me because i know they're little, and maybe meaningless to the world but not to us because we're those people who feel all the same feelings and know the importance.
Sometimes I wish you were here to tell me these whispers around me don't matter.
And most times, I wish you were here because
These people
And these things
They scare the crap out of me
And you aren't here to make me laugh about it.
