Sometimes

Sometimes,

I feel like your messages should come a little bit sooner

Maybe your response is kind of delaying the obvious future

Or I’m just frustrated that you always let me sleep off sooner

Every time I hopefully waited, my eyes fell heavy and dimmer

Sometimes,

I feel like we should stay on the topic a little bit longer

Maybe that will place us and our destiny somehow closer

I wonder why you don’t let me express myself a bit deeper

Every time I almost nail the point home, you drifted further

Sometimes

I feel like you should stop questioning yourself harder

Maybe deep within you lies not the real answer

Or you think I’m just another clueless and insignificant joker

Ignoring the fact that within me might be the whole chapter

Sometimes

I feel like you should just listen when I’m the speaker

Maybe that will make you understand me much better

I know you’ve deeply thought of me as your lover

But you probably end up saying I’m just another stranger

Sometimes

I feel like you should let me say how I’d love you better

Maybe because you feel you might end up a lone ranger

But I think there are things that would relieve you some pressure

Like if you knew that I plan to make you the strings to my guitar

Sometimes

I feel like you don’t want to this version to be clear

But all I want you to know is that I want to love you better

I just want to show you something much greater
