Sometimes

Sometimes I feel angry

Angry enough to yell and scream

Angry enough to hit, punch, kick, maim

Angry enough to kill

It’s not my fault I’m angry

When the tears come and I’m left alone

Alone with my thoughts

Alone with my horrid desires

Painting a picture of red

Red

My eyes are red

My fists clenched

My brain fogged

Nothing else matters except my rage

The same rage that kills

Kills any form of common sense

The rage that controls me

Controls my words and actions

Angry at the world

Angry at society

Telling me what to do, what not to do

Controlling my actions

Controlling my life

Angry at the world for not acting out

Angry at the world for not saying anything

And sometimes I’m worried

Worried for that same world

The world we call home

Home is where the heart is, they say

But I do not have a heart

None of us do

No one cares for our world’s heart

The same heart that cares for us

Bringing us life and fulfilment

The same heart that brought you into this world

I’m left alone with my thoughts

But what will I think?

Do I be angry or worried

It’s stressful to be both

Our world and our society are messed up

Sometimes I’m angry because we don’t worry enough
