Sometimes
Sometimes I feel like life is so long,
And whatever I do always is wrong.
I often give up and want to turn back,
But I know that I need to say on track.
Sometimes I wish that I could just shout.
And scream, and cluck, and flutter about.
But what would that do? What would that solve?
I know that this, I must resolve.
Sometimes I tihnk things are too far away.
But I need to find pleasure in the midst of today.
I need to stay positive and focus on me,
And what I need to do, and who I want to be.
Sometimes I wish I could magically disappear,
And hide so I don't have face this big fear.
I want to be secure and make myself snug.
And lie in the burden that I, myself dug.
Sometimes my life falls apart so it seems,
But I need to keep going so I can follow my dreams.
I can't live a life with a cracked, broken heart,
And constantly dwelling on if we're together or apart. ♥
