sometimes

sometimes

I sit

until night quits the sky

wanting for answers

to wonderings why

but my conscience claws at bars

and sometimes

I watch

through a slumberous lens

as my mind renders dreams

without beginnings or ends

but Awake and Asleep live apart

othertimes

I wonder

if I’ll find me a home

where life is not fragile

and death does not roam

though I’ve yet to explore beyond stars

but mosttimes

I fear

for my cheeks

cause I smile so big
