Sometimes
Sometimes I feel like a candle in a hurricane
Trying my hardest just to light my flame
I'm slowing burning bit by bit
Melting away every time I'm lit
Sometimes I feel like a doll held by a child
Tossed around soon to be filed
Wanted at first then forgotten in time
My limbs move but I'm treated like a mime
Sometimes I feel like a flower in bloom
Picked for the tuxedo pocket of the groom
Planted in the fall to sprout in the spring
To be held in hands when he bends down with a ring
