sometimes I wish I could
sometimes I wish I could
connect a device directly to my brain
and record all my thoughts
incoherent and profound
and send them to you
in a pleasantly wrapped package
and see the light in your eyes
as you look into my mind and realize
that in this world of broken fate
and no true guarantees
that in all simplicity
we were never meant to be
