Sometimes it seems
Sometimes it seems as if this world is too much
Always saying you ready to grow up
And then when you do
You ask yourself ‘What the hell was I thinking?’
Dealing with school is bad enough
Whether it’s being the prettiest or the smartest
To being the meanest or nicest
To dealing with student loans
To applying or scholarships
Sometimes it seems as if this world is too much
Always turning the news on to see something tragic has happened
Either someone’s blown this up or that up
Or a little girl has gone missing and usually turning up dead
It’s always drama on the box
Where’s the positive stuff
Set that out for everyone to hear
Where’s that hope everyone’s always talking about
Or those promises that seem to get forgotten and lost in the wind
What is with this world today?
*Sigh*
Sometimes it seems as if this world is too much
Love is undervalued
People run from it more than they run to it
Hearts breaking easily
And lives being shuttered in a snap
Sometimes it seems as if this world is too much
But this is the only chance to live it
The best must be made from the positives
And the negatives shall die down
Maybe this world isn’t too much
And maybe it is
But only HE knows that and always shall
Something wrong with this poem?
