sometimes we drown in our tears

In the vast sea of galaxies

We were blessed with eternal beauty

Yet when I gazed upon him

He had those same melancholy optics

I saw the ocean in his eyes

If only I had stopped admiring his oceans

And leaped in to save him

From the same exact beauty that was drowning him
