Sometimes Yes Is Not

Sometimes yes is no

And no is yes

Yes is maybe yes

And maybe no, no

Lawyers have a way with words

Judges have a way to strike chords

And rules that nobody knew existed

Things can get convoluted

Sometimes yes is not yes

Life is like playing chess

And no is no

It is time to chase away the bimbo

Yes has a lot of meanings

And so is no

Yes is acceptance and greetings

And no is rejection

And contention

There’s a gray area

And that’s maybe

You’re maybe right, yeah

Avoid negativity

Because we’re all wrong

And life is short, not long.
