Son

Maneuvering through life,

Rushing every moment,

The son crept from under the ground to greet me in an orange blossoming glow.

Although I was frightened,

And unsure of every move,

I couldn’t help but be captured by the emotionless peace.

Many had warned me of the harmful effects,

After looking at this majestic element,

… But I could help but indulge myself.

Eventually my eyes finally broke

The lock

But I couldn't see.

as i looked around my world

what i onced called beautiful was now plagued with a leprosy

everything i once thought was inspiring

was spotted and incomplete.

nothing was or would ever be of equal strength

Nothing would ever be as special.

now i live in a world of dullness as my muse takes its leave

from me

.

although i know you will never returned to me

and your artistry will never be like the first time we met

i have no regrets

You were my son and I would never change our time together.
