the Son and his flowers

the seeds of positivity have been rooted within me this whole time,

and gradually they have been budding into a beautiful mentality.

with you, as my fertilizer, i was weakened.

sick in the mind.

i was bound to languish.

but i overcame the effects of this damaging auxiliary.

i found myself a new Son, whose rays fill me with nutrients and love.

despite having many cloudy days, i’ve used the rain to my benefit.

i’ve absorbed its power and have learned to harness it as my own.

i know the clouds won’t stay, i just have to stay strong enough to face the adversity they bring.

from these experiences i have learned much.

i’m finally understanding who i’m meant to be,

i’m finally going where i’m supposed to be,

i’m finally growing.

-a flower stuck (in abuse)
