Song

I met you a thousand years ago.  You were supposed to be my song.

Your heart and mine were forged together at the beginning of existence itself.  I have been searching for you my entire life. I knew who you were before we even met.

I spoke but you couldn’t hear me.  My voice echoed in my barren soul.

I am broken not because of you.  I was broken forever until I met you, and experienced what it was like to be unbroken for a little while because of you.

I heard you but I couldn’t listen.

I’m strong too, but stronger with you at my side.  You don’t have to give up your independence to be in a relationship.  You don’t have to be beholden to your past.

Your voice is the sweetest sound I have ever heard.

Being next to you is all my desire.  From now until my last breath.

Our song was never finished.

Love this poem. It's like You put words to my life experience before meeting my twin flame.
