Song

Song

Let me not to the marriage of song and soul

Make incursions towards their impactful weight,

For all melodies must fulfill the goal

Of making art of that which is innate.

Forever has this language long withstood

Time’s test that leaves all else behind;

Its message universally understood

In all its complexity and design.

But most importantly is the beauty of it all

Song is the sensation of human psyche

Which conveys man’s conscious as overall

An ever-changing masterpiece of nature’s own composition.

Thus, even as I sit and write to thee

Music plays in my head, and I feel I am free.
