The Song that Always Plays

I'm listening to a love song today.

It's sweet and gentle and tells me to stay.

The melody is slow, yet exciting and whole

It rhymes with my heart beat and flows with my soul.

It makes me dance, forgetting that I can't.

It makes me laugh and grant everything I have.

I listen to the melody and it listens back.

I cry to the melody, putting no act.

It's rythm stays with me wherever I go,

It tells me the lyrics that I sometimes don't know

It gives me space, but also embrace

I call it home, with it's sweet gentle bass

The lyrics make me explore every corner of my mind

and come across the small things that before I couldn't find.

It sings to me dreams and sweet melodies,

and I wonder where this song was in my solidarities.

The final lyrics say, "because I love you,"

and I realize the world around me has lost it's blue.

This always happens, when I hear this lovely tune.

You see, this song always plays, when I'm sitting next to you.
