The Song of a Dying Bird
To those who deal with depression,
She tells me I don’t respect her
That I’m never around
She tells me she doesn’t want me
I’m thrown to the ground
I cook to make her happy
I try when she’s sad
I clean up the house, so it’s not too bad
Although I make mistakes
I do great things too
But I guess she’ll never see
That I love her too
He enjoys manipulation
But I never really cared
I enjoy his company so I pretend i’m unaware
I’ve just made a living promise that I cannot break
So now I wait
For him to tell me I was a mistake
To disappear from my life, to fade from my view
The day he does that to me
I’ll never tell him, but, i’ll disappear too
I love everyone in my life
I couldn’t be happier
The fact that I don’t matter
Is a non-hindering factor
I know it sounds so stupid
But listen to the rest
There is just one last thing I want to confess
I’ll never be perfect
And i’ve made some mistakes
Time could come and save me but I think i’ll come find it
I’ve always wanted to be strong
To hide that i’m so weak
I pretend to be there, to hide my true physique
I’m sorry that i’m too weak, to deal with living alone
But I don’t feel like I have any place or home
So now i’ll say goodbye
I’ll let the new times pass me by
I hope you can forgive me
Wait , no, I know you can
Just know that I loved u, as much as I could and can
That in my confusion, that’s the one thing that’s always stood
I understand that you don’t need me
I get that you don’t care
So now that I have no reason,
To stay and sing a living song
I guess i’ll disappear
To the darkness I came from
I’m done dealing with bullshit
I don’t want it anymore
