A Song For Grandma

God has looked around his garden and found an empty space

Then he looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest

Gods garden must be beautiful because he only takes the best

She smiles through a thousand tears and harbors adolescent fears

She dreams of all that she can never be

She wades in insecurity and hides herself inside of me
