Song of the Homeless

We go about day to day seeking...

Shelter,

Food,

Safety.

We go about night to night hoping.

Hoping that men in blue don't take us away...

Hoping that men with guns don't come...

Hoping we can make it to see another day...

Some of us live our life without a roof over our heads.

The children don't get to eat for several days...

While the others die.

All we can do is hope and pray.

Pray that someone will come with food.

And even if it's a few minutes of...safety.

So far... We are the rough pieces of a puzzel that has yet, to be completed.

Hello! I love to create poems as if you're reading a story, something that flows and can relate to anyone who reads. Most of the time it's inspiration based on instrumental music, and other's are spur of the moment with a bit of planning! I hope you like what I write and leave a comment!
