Song of Myself

A solid, single creation, I stand with my feet On the ground. Planted.  Find success, but stay grounded. Moving forward, one step at a time. Cliché. I am and was born, Lauren Macalalad,  The original, not the sequel For I follow no one,  They follow me. An avant-garde world, where everything  Is turned upside-down And exploding with uniqueness, Is the quintessence of my mid. The scintillating psyche Consists of a glib course, Directing me towards rights And even wrongs, So that I learn from my faults. Fear originates from  Darkness, despair, loneliness In my mind, reality, your mind But never does bravado take its presence I am only real.  The fear of being lonely Doesn't mean I'm dependent I AM INDEPENDENT but when times of despondency do appear  I too, am reliant --but aren't we all? In contrast to fear - happiness Is ubiquitous, towering over Anything and everything. Ridding the world of fear And ridding me of fear. So now I find where exactly It is that I stand,  I'm the center of all Failure, misfortune, tribulations A loser. At the same time I own the origins of Success, victory, triumphs, A winner. This eclectic, yet rudimentary lifelyste, Being as contradictory as it is, Leads me, guids me and Ameliorates my vision of life. Creative,  Vociferous in my actions, Soft with my words I am me. I am me,  Who is the pastiche Of my accomplishments, Of my failures,  Of your company. A long time from now, Or sporadically throughout moments Of my life I will ponder The way I lived. It is possible, it is not To live your life Or to die just when it starts I conclude that it is possible and it is not And so I live here today, I stand, standing tall, And I will live For the rest of my life. But when I pass I shall float to the heavens -  My memories, thoughts and ideas Sprount wings. I leave behind all who I love, Claiming my only presence - alone In the light. And with your plane that passes by,  I shall be the storm that delays, Just so you can stick around.
