Song of Myself

I am the son of

A man, but I don't

Understand the purpose

Of the plan he has for me,

I am at rest with peace

Even with the people

That despise me,

Cause even when my

Soul vacations from earth,

Who are they, I am a beat

Motivated by the lyrics

Which come from I

And others mouths,

A poetic symphony

About life as it transforms

Through my growth, I am

In love with a queen,

Who's existence trembles

My heart, but speaks at low

Volumes when she is afar,

The silk breeze that flows

Through her hair when I

Stroke it as her skin softens

From affection and melts

Into mine with one kiss,

I am the anger that's

Expressed through music

Of this time, the artist

Rebel against hate and

Discrimination because

The nation doesn't

Believe in them, I am

The air that guides

The ball, following

Through with all I've

Accomplished or desires

That have yet to be

Lived, I am loyal, to my

Family, through the

Adversity, we manage to

Build a brother or

Sisterhood carefree of

Judgement, just laughs

And memories, I am a

Listener who whispers

My own truth, I enjoy life

At night, I embrace the beauty

Of the sea and marvel at

The glare that cast upon it,

I am me, the one fire that

Can live in the rain, the

Silent amongst beautiful

Things...
