Song of the Wren

I hear the wren in the cherry tree just singing its song, I could just sit here underneath listening all day long. There’s a feeling in the air that’s relaxing and silently I find myself just asking, Is it right for us to taking advantage of this beauty? We look but we walk right by acting all snooty, We don’t understand why it’s in our lives, But it’s all around and we watch as it thrives. I watch as the flowers bloom every spring, And the joy they always bring. They show beauty in our lives in so many ways, They just never seem to cease to amaze. those who can’t see it’s glamor are blind, this beauty is like no other, one of a kind. I look around and spot something near But I can’t make it out it just isn’t clear unknown As I walk away from the shade I can still hear the song of the wren being played A melody, so cheerful and bright As bright as the stars shining at night. whether it is the beauty of a flower or an just a rainy April shower Even what some consider ugly is beautiful too It all depends on the person, it depends on you. A snake might be to some might be scary but to other they make them merry You have the choice to see the beauty within even if it means stopping for a second and taking everything in everything doesn’t always make sense in our existence so we might take along path or the path of least resistance Our lives are showing us to a new thing Animals that are enjoying every new spring They show us things we don’t know that not everything in life is just a show Knowing that if you look around It’s amazing to see what’s on the ground Or what’s in the air? You just have to let yourself go and actually care Caring about mother earth should be on top of our list because without this place our lives would cease to exist We need to come together to make it clean Just seeing it go to waste would be obscene The trees and birds are all a part of our lives We don’t want want to just sit and watch as it dies I listen as the song comes to an end It’s as if I’m saying goodbye to a dear friend It brought happiness into my life for a short while I still stop and think about it, and then I smile.
