That Song You Play
This that song you play when walking down dreamville
That song you play when you know it’s all gone to hell
That song you play when you recuperate and walk again
Cause without the Father where would you be
I remember wanting to die that day
When my sister looked over and said your homeboy he passed away
I felt brain dead my heart burned up
My mind telling me "No" you got me screwed up
Why you had to snuff out my candle God
You knew we had plans to make a song for you To let the world know you
He thought me all I knew in rap and now you took him from me
Cancer took his heart and now the whole world is looking ugly
Promised myself I wouldn’t cry but then they his had song playing
I couldn’t stop the flood at the viewing or the funeral
I still cry sometimes
Cause visions we would of had if we all went worldwide
Had a party on his birthday we vibeing and chatting
Had me a eating competition with the fam that was fun times right although I lost
And even though we had to leave
I still remember what he thought me was most appealing that GOD IS GOOD
This that song you play when walking down dreamville
That song you play when you know it’s all gone to hell
That song you play when you recuperate and walk again
Cause without the Father where would you be
Took me a couple years to get over
Completely sober but more like a drunken man the way I felt homeless
Who should I turn to man were both the same age
I looking up to heaven like a prayer would reverse my state
Telling myself I wanted to die before I turn 20
Forget heaven and hell man a real troop would die with him
Who wouldn’t known that speaking death into my situation
Almost died on my birthday it was like death was waiting
Had ice pops in the hand
Was skating on them four wheels got the green light to go
Pickup truck came out nowhere stumbled back
Got my legs chewed up by the front and rear tires
But by some miracle no bones were crushed or dislocated
Just had me popping pills for all the current devastation
Now I know lifes in the power of the tongue
So I just praise for what Jeff has thought me "LDL365"
This that song you play when walking down dreamville
That song you play when you know it’s all gone to hell
That song you play when you recuperate and walk again
Cause without the Father where would you be
This that song you play when walking down dreamville
That song you play when you know it’s all gone to hell
That song you play when you recuperate and walk again
Cause without the Father where would I be
This that song you play when walking down dreamville
That song you play when you know it’s all gone to hell
That song you play when you recuperate and walk again
Cause without the Father where would the world be
