Songs of Myself

I celebrate myself, and sing myself,

And what I assume you shall assume

I think nobody in the world would care if I was gone

I want to disappear into shadows like a black stallion into the night.

I like to be recognized, but

I need to be left alone,

All of these things I feel or am

I see how this twisted world work yet

I hear the absolute nothingless

I hate to ever have the experience of knowing exists.

I hate those quiet whispers of the trees howling in the wind as your soft skin basks in the midnight moonlight.

I fear for those lost souls that have never found their way to rest.

I understand, I suffered, I was there.

I’ve live through the treacherous threats,

I’ve laughed until the point of almost no return,

I’ve loved with all my heart until there was nothing left of me and it was shattered into a million pieces,

I’ve lied to everyone who was better off not knowing.

I stood at the top of the tallest mountain, screaming until my entire being trembled to the ground with silent tears streaming down my cheeks only to find no words came out.

If you want me, just look for me in the mirror because I have lived your life.

I celebrate myself.

Hoping to cease not till death.
