This Is A Sonnet

Sometimes I feel sad when there's rainy days, I try to listen as the teachers teach. I'm hoping that this weather's just a phase I really want to leave and hit the beach! I long to feel the sand between my toes, enjoy the salty wind upon my face, I'd swim until the water grazed my nose, The waves are passing by for me to chase. I always think of this while I'm at school, I sit in class just staring at the clock. I wish that leaving class was not a rule... my feet should now be hanging off a dock. I wake and tell the teacher I can't stay, And to my car, I ran and drove away.
