Sonnet 1 - My Lover Is Perfection Like A Dream

My lover is perfection like a dream,

His heart an open book for me to read.

I know someday we'll be the perfect team;

Until then I'm content to curb my greed.

Though were't my choice I'd want him with me now,

I know for days together I must wait;

But when time comes that we exchange our vows

I'll gladly keep him always as my mate.

Each night I'll welcome him into my bed

And he will keep me warm throughout the night.

The only one who knows what's in my head,

His calmness will resolve our every fight.

That's why with patience I'll wait for the day

When he and I can finally run away.
