Sonnet

People surround me, yet none do at all

I stand in a crowd all alone by myself

I don’t see, hear, or feel anything but hurt

Isolation is in and of itself

Some see it as a problem but not I

When I’m alone, I’m at peace with the world

No matter what is thought, I am not shy

Just like to sit in a corner, unfurled

A ripple of speech, my lips will not reach

There would be nothing that I would ever say

Or my system will have had a major breach

The way I am makes me happy today

I will remain as I am all alone

Until I know that I have become grown
