Sonnet #7

First day at a new school was not easy, I was clueless and got lost in the hall Making some friends would not be so breezy Then I met you when you broke my big fall. We had classes and I thought you were cool, When you spoke to me, my heart skipped a beat, You were friends with everyone at school I did not think you would save me a seat. Then I saw something I couldn’t believe The fog cleared and I could finally see I used to believe the lies you would weave I realized you were trouble for me. My love was a flower that you trampled, It didn’t die, but it is still mangled.
