Sonnet of the Average Poet
Truth be told, I am nothing more than you.
The words capture the breathe of life within,
The mist unfolds to birth a dainty view
Of needlework that wants to try to mend
The Cracks from which my words flow smoothly from.
We write the rights that bind us all to Earth,
They echo thoughts and melodically drum.
Since suffering is what harbors the hurt,
Pens in hand, we defend our mother's land.
As each is taught compassion from the womb,
Poets reintroduce the love of man
By flooding the heart-walls built much too soon.
Beyond the cultures or stereotypes.
Poets speak truth of basic human rights.
