A Sonnet on Girl Child Killing
Sonnet on Girl Child Birth It was the day when she came in the world.
With lovely cry she peeped it like a bird.
Eager everyone to know the gender.
I was standing with unique splendour.
"Girl child born" uttering this word;
Everyone was; unhappy I heard.
Even women that hath same gender;
Seemed me the moon lost splendour.
Stone told when enquired she and me.
But was a doll for her papa and mummy
No one ate food even it was yummy.
Think think! O human what is without she?
Mother; sister; wife and aunt is she.
Let her see the world and let her say mummy.
