a sonnet for music
you are newfound confidence,
in a mind so lost and confused
your influence is bottomless,
in expression you are used.
without you i wilt, like a flower in the heat
any inward demon of mine, you are sure to defeat
when i struggled the most, you freed me of woe
though i live in the desert, you've helped me see snow!
with happiness, you are synonymous
my problems you help me elude
your rhythm holds no consequence,
yet in you am i improved.
music has no bounds in answering what you entreat
and with this i am lucky to sing many an arpeggio!
