Sonnet Number 1

T'were you to leave, my heart shall lie

still in my chest, undone.

And mute my tounge and dull my eye

as world without the sun.

A life without you pains my mind

as dreadful arrow bores.

My life, my world, have been entwined

as heart of mine with yours.

I shall but sit in flat malaise

and pine for none but thee.

no piece, no scrap, shall catch my gaze

for all eternity.

All this and more and acts such as

if cheeseburger I cannot has.
