Sonnet Perusing Romanticism
Throughout the foliage compassion lies
A wind of life whose grasp does carry me
Above the sea is heard tremendous cries
From these thick walls an urge I have to flee
These streets are sullen, gloomy and morose
This heart of mine is fluttered, filled with dreams
I seek some purity, no grandiose
Dew from an early morning strongly gleams
I feel as though the sunset offers more
Besides a signal ceasing light of day
A passion colored within my deep core
A spark of truth, telling me what to say
One’s eye in beauty gives them a will to be
One’s will to speak gives them a will to see
