The sonnet of poetry

Convey many meanings is not a norm.

By showing life, thoughts, and love to readers;

Through diction, connotation, and word form.

Thinking involved makes it writers’s feeder;

feeds that words are more than denotations too.

And how to tell feelings without telling.

A way of knowing what someone went through;

I shared about me and a friend split.

Then also by comprehending Shakespeare;

shows he lives forever through his poems.

Sharing myself when you listen and hear;

a way to express myself openly.

And poetry teaches me all these things, 

and this is everything poetry means.
