Sonnet to Rain

Shall I compare thee to a rainy day? To thou Heaven's do shed tears Droplets disappear into the sun's shinning ray Let the rain fall down after drought ridden years Little raindrops disappear in my raven hair The ripples form in long stagnant ponds Stopping rides at a lively fair Floods of water drench the lawns Rain that brings me to a heavy sleep Dripping wet but yet I dance Puddles form in which I leap The rain washes mistakes away, giving me that second chance Feeling the rain as I lay on the ground Closing my eyes, embracing the sound
