A Sonnet of Sorts

My heart is empty, and broken

My head is quiet and grey

The water is tearing me down and ensnaring

My murky life, filled with decay

I struggle to lift up my finger

As I lay my heavy head down

I’m frozen in fear, as I fade, disappear

as I sink, and I painfully drown

My life is the ‘center of perfect’

I’m talented, pretty, and smart

So I shouldn’t complain when my life seems ‘mundane’

Say’s the people who made me restart

I’m lonely when all the crowds gather

I’m crowded when just left alone

My thoughts in my head wishing that I was dead

I’m barren, stripped to the bone.

My life, still growing undaunted

Seems to shrink with the smallest offense

Can’t stay here on this plane, when the captains away

I should leave, before darkness commences.
