Sonnet Syndrome

The “nothing notion” takes its toll, and shock

Creates a fog to trap the brain. Incite

That tends to goad the thought process, will not

Emerge. Imagination, not so bright.

But in that mist of dark distress, a tide

Quiets the “nothing notion.” School, the mind

Reminds, there’s no reason to run and hide.

If hard, you’d have been given more time.

Dissolve these fears and take a breath, release

Your pen and paper from their time apart,

They must resume their dance, never to cease,

The purpose, clearer in the end then start.

The beauty in sonnets remain by thus,

Their point is forever seen villainous.
