Sonnet XIX
My sweet love is the splendor of the sun
His love shines warm within my heart
He says my name; I know that he’s the one.
With him I shall not dare or try to part.
So soft and bright like stars in dark night sky
My way I yearn for sky blue eyes to see
And when they do, I feel like I could fly,
In azure eyes I find my spirit free.
And yet I gaze into those sapphire eyes
I’m trapped, I simply cannot look away
Ensnared by lovely jades I’m deaf to lies
But from him I do fear the most to stray.
Eternally my soul with him shall rest
My loving heart I give without protest
