sons and daugthers

day by day they walk by unoticed

having everything and nothing

hurting yet smiling

smiling but hurting

what kind of people are we

to ignore the cry of our brothers

what kind of lives do we lead that we destroy hope

and breed lies

how can we rescue the hungry

how can we save the lost

how can we be the change that humanity so desperatly needs!

we talk

we care

we love

we write

we stop

we stop rushing

we stop daydreaming

we stop crying

we stop thinking

look up

i look up to see the sunrise and a hand reach out of the clouds

i look up and hear a voice cry out from the void surrounding

i look up and smile

i look up and realize i am not alone

i am not alone in this crazy place in this world of insanity

in this world of neverending sadness

i look up and see the loom of a shadow

it is a hand, an arm, a shoulder, a body

it is a friend

it is a lover it is a daughter it is a mother

it is my hope

my hope that the world has not ended

it is my hope that i am still breathing

it is my hope that things can get better

that he has not forsaken me and i am still worthy

i am still worthy of life

i am no longer disgusting and rotting

living in the shadows

i am no longer a plauge to be purged

but i am a part of the storm that keeps rolling

i am like the tide that takes over the rocks

i am a wave that pulls you in and sucks you under

i am the lighting, i am the storm i am the thunder

i am no longer just resounding

i am seen i am heard i have seen the truth

that is why i have come to share his words

the father of us all

he has lifted me up

he has saved me and i am hear to save you

heed my words do not turn your back

look up to the sky and cry out

cry out with your heart and take my hand

i will never leave you or forsake you

that was never my plan

i love you i want you

please just take hold

oh! the plans i have for you

oh! the places we will go

the things we will see the beauty you have yet to know

the true nectar of life

the true taste of pure joy

to be content and whole truly satisfied

in a world of want

i can show you wonders and miracles

how to fight and win

i can show you things that you have yet to even dream of

i can show you love

i have heard your cry

and i am hear to answer

please, just take my hand
