Soprano Rainbows

Who would I be if my overactive rainbow of ideas didn’t muddy itself at my feet
Forcing me to create new ways to show that I am more than my circumstances
All I need is my freedom of speech Closed mouths don’t get fed on crowded streets
In a world where you have to have a job to get an education

Just to get an education but no job
Give me my voice
A soprano percussion of mind, soul, and depth
Hear me roar
All I need is a microphone
A script, camera, and a like mind
To me, there is no matter of dark or light
I will shine and let the sun dim in envy of me
Give me my freedom to speak that is all I need

All I need is a forum to create, innovate, initiate and cultivate a future generation of love in a sea of hate
To teach them to swim to the coral reef of their civic amendments and claim the beauty of them for ourselves
No matter the color of my skin
Let me speak
I couldn’t live without my voice
My voice is all I need
