Sorry
Sorry
Sorry is what they said
Sorry because their lips can only say those two syllables
They know they’re the reason why
The constant torturing they do to his innocent soul
Sorry because they know he’s never coming back
Sorry they said when the tears left me
Sorry is all they said
Sorry is what he said when he pulled that trigger
Sorry is what they said when they found out
But, where were they when he was hurting?
They couldn’t see how he was feeling inside
Sorry is what they said to me
Sorry is what he said to God as the gun let go of that bullet
Sorry is what they all said
Sorry is the 5 letter word that he left me
Sorry
Sorry
Sorry
Is what I read over and over again
But, sorry isn’t good enough because He’s GONE.
